by Shoshana Bass
Playing at Sandglass Theater November 23 and 24th at 7:30 pm
A piece about belonging, memory and love between generations.
This year as part of the Putney Craft Tour Sandglass Theater is pleased to present When I Put on Your Glove. This piece is performed and created by Shoshana Bass based on a signature work of her father, Eric Bass. See the latest version of this work fresh back from tour in Taiwan.
When I Put On Your Glove is a puppetry, dance and spoken word piece that explores a daughter’s relationship to her father’s work building upon a premise that puppets are containers of memory.
Inspired by Sandglass Theater’s guests at the Puppets in the Green Mountains Festival who brought new ideas of access to our community, Shoshana will offer a “Touch Tour” for those who benefit from a closer interaction with the puppets and scenery. The touch tour consists of verbal descriptions of the set and an opportunity to feel the fixtures, fittings and textures of the scenery, and to meet Shoshana who will describe her character and costume, and answer any questions that you might have. Sandglass will also be providing “social stories” for audience members that want preparation and a preview of what the experience of attending the theater will be like. You can reserve a space in the touch tour or receive the social story by request at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Performances are Friday and Saturday November 23 and 24 at 7:30 pm at Sandglass Theater in Putney, Vermont. Tickets are $16 students/seniors and $18 general and $25 for supporters. Reservations in advance are recommended and can be made by calling (802) 387 – 4051 or email email@example.com
