Raphael Sacks, Ensemble member

Raphael Sacks is a singer, dancer and theatermaker from New York City, newly transplanted to Springfield Vermont with his own dance-theater company Loom Ensemble (LoomEnsemble.com), in residence at the Art Monastery Vermont (ArtMonatsery.org) on the banks of the Connecticut River.“Joining the “Babylon” ensemble has been an inspirational deep dive into the overlap of personal integrity and political engagement, devotion to the craft of performance, and the nuances of collaboration. It’s an honor to be a part of Sandglass’s work, here in the overlap of art and activism. At the end of long days in the theater together, I feel a resounding YES, from my heart center, from my desire to make a difference in the world. And the Babylon tour is just getting started…”

Yael Rasooly is a dear friend of Sandglass who has been presented at past Puppets in the Green Mountains festivals and will soon grace our community again with a special musical program at the Stone Church in Brattleboro. CLICK HERE for more
