Shoshana Bass – When I Put On Your Glove – April 2, 2016
April 2, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm| $13 - $15
In this new devised work a young woman engages with her father through performing his signature theater work. The piece weaves together fragments of his work, Autumn Portraits, with the woman’s own reflections, images, joys and challenges in her present life (including a recent fall from the trapeze, which left her unable to practice her usual forms of expression for the time being). Shoshana is a multidisciplinary performer and this piece covers the ground of puppetry, dance and spoken word as she navigates the landscape of generational, artistic inheritance. Shoshana investigates the past and present through the memories living within her father’s puppets. The creative transformation in her life and her art of When I Put on Your Glove comes at a pivotal time of institutional transition of Sandglass Theater, the theater her parents founded and the place she grew up.
