Punschijust arrived back from tour in Southern California where Shoshana Bass and Jana Zeller played for audiences in theaters, schools, libraries and festivals.
“I feel so in love with our work, with the people it connects us to, the communities that welcome us, and the places we get to visit. I feel love when I unpack my mother’s beautifully, hand-crafted flea circus, and set it up to share it with schools, libraries, cultural centers, theaters and in community parks. And I feel love that I get to tour and perform with my big sister. We have met so many beautiful people and so many children melted my heart with their willingness to be joyful, laugh and play. We are inspired to learn the show in Spanish for next time!”
Now back East the performing sisters continue their ventures in puppetry with school workshops and a performance in Cuttingsville, Vermont on Friday May 18th, a performance at the Retreat Farm in Brattleboro on May 27th at 11 a.m. and performances featuring Kasper the Cow and the Flea Circus during the
Strolling of the Heifers event in Brattleboro on Saturday June 2.

Build a variety of simple puppets of different sizes, embellish them with character and costume, and learn techniques for animating the puppets and creating story with them. At the end of the week there will be an informal showing for friends and family to celebrate our week of puppetry. In addition to the puppetry there will be group building games and focusing exercises to get the creative energy flowing.
